We can’t start anything before we obsess over your brand. How can we give viewers a glimpse into the life your brand inspires without understanding your brand story ourselves?
The first step of the lifestyle process is to dive into your world, get to know your products and what’s important to you. We meet your creative team, learn about your goals for the project, and start to custom-mold a project pipeline for your specific needs.

Visual storytelling for a brand takes some hard work and intention. We start by building a storyboard, or a plan for the production with visual inspiration for your desired content. Then we work with you to build prop lists, source everything we need for the shoot, and book models for a personal touch.

We have a team of freelance photographers, stylists, assistants, designers, editors, and models ready to collaborate on a project. Once we make a plan, we build the perfect team for your goals, bringing in the artists to get the job done right.

Can we execute your vision in our studio, or do we need to rent a location? We shoot as much as we can here in our Solon studio, but often the scale of our projects require we find the perfect location, or even shoot on-site at client facilities.
Both in-studio and on-location have their advantages, and we often provide you a quote for both to give you options.

It can be very helpful to have the client on standby for real-time photo feedback and approval. Our clients are from across the country, so we setup a live-feed website where you can remotely tune in to review every photo we take. When we complete a photo, you’ll see it immediately, allowing you to give feedback an art-direct before we have torn down an elaborate set.

Lifestyle content introduces many more variables into the quoting process, so we like to stay flexible and offer payment terms that work for you. Some clients pay per asset created, others rent the studio for a day rate, and some clients pay us monthly retainers for an agreed-on number of assets.
Either way, every client has a unique budget that they want to stretch as far as possible, and we can help make a plan that works best for what you can afford.

STEP BY STEP - What does a typical project look like?

Step 2
PRE-PRODUCTION
The term “pre-production” encompasses quite a few things. We start by learning all we can about your brand and what brought you to us. Then we review your list of products and use that to build a shot list. Finally comes scheduling, booking, and any final clarifying questions.
Step 3
PRODUCTION
It’s shoot day! First we prep, style, light, and shoot your products according to our plan and shot list. Our talented team of creative photographers and stylists are guaranteed to make your products look amazing. We’ll reach out if we have any questions, and we might even send some unedited previews! But most shoots go perfectly smooth.
Step 4
POST-PRODUCTION
Immediately after shooting is complete, all files head off to our editing team so they can work their magic. Industry-standard retouching is typically done for all projects, ensuring your samples always look their best. After retouching, if needed, files continue to receive compositing, graphic design, or 3D treatments.
Step 5
PROOFING
When your final files are done, you receive an invite to an intuitive online proofing gallery where you can view all of your photos. Download contact sheets, comment directly in the gallery, and even annotate the photos. Our software is designed to let you give feedback as naturally as possible.
Step 6
POST THOSE PHOTOS!
Once you’re thrilled with your final images, we collect the final payment and send you a download link containing all of your high-res files. Our favorite part about working with you is seeing our photos “in the wild,” so please share with us your photos once they are live and raking in the sales!

The best way to make a great plan is to make a great shot list, and it’s impossible to do that without your help. You know your brand and products better than we ever could, so we ask you to do a bit of homework upfront to avoid revision requests and numerous back-and-forth emails and calls down the road.
Deciding what type of content you need
Taking into account the final application of your photos is crucial in formulating a plan for your shoot. We might handle a campaign differently from a social post, even structuring our business agreement and discounts around the frequency of content needed.
